Short and Sweet

While working, my cell starts to vibrate. Display reads "KC". I thought something was the matter because we just spoke about 20 minutes prior during my lunch.

It wasn't, it was my daughter.

"Hi Daddy!"

"Hey Ladybug! What's going on??"

"Yeah, fine!"

"Good!"

"When are you coming home??"

"I'm staying a little longer today, baby. So I don't have to work tonight."

"Ok, I gotta call you back!"

[-call ended 0:35 seconds- ]

The girl is not into details, but this totally made my day.

  1. My wife use to do those short sweet calls. I never understood why, but when they stopped I missed them.

  2. Love it. That is sweet.

I once walked in on Lukas at daycare while playing with old cell phones. He was having a conversation with me and didn't know I was behind him. It was great.

  3. That's cool. I'm not sure why, but none of my kids like to talk to me on the phone.

  4. When my daughter first learned to dial my number at work it was awesome. Those calls definitely made me smile.

Now if only I can get her to quit refusing to talk on the phone these days. I miss those calls.
